Hello everyone! As summer time quickly approaches its hard to believe musIQ club is coming to end . We have just completed our 7th week in musIQ club. There are 3 classes left, the last being June 21st. During the last half hour on June 21, we will be having a small recital, where each student will play a solo that they have chosen on the keyboard for everyone!

Week 7 (May 31, 2012):
So last class we traced our left hand and right hand on a piece of paper and then went on to label our finger numbers as shown below.
It is important to match the finger numbers to the musical alphabet note names:
We must position our hands so that they match up with the notes/keys on the keyboard. This is they keyboard:
…So can you name the notes on the keyboard? Better yet, can you MATCH your fingers using the correct finger numbers to the keys on this keyboard? Next class I will be giving you back the sheets which you traced your hands on, and together we will label each finger with the musical letter names.
Please print off this Keyboard and color the keys we play with our right hand YELLOW, and the keys we play with our left hand BLUE. Once you do that you should find one of the keys is a GREEN color. What note/letter name is this??
